Where the Light Shifts

A four-piece fine art print collection exploring place, memory, and internal landscape. Available as a complete collection, with individual signed prints also kept quietly available in the shop.

Original Paintings

Available originals from the studio, led by original paintings on reclaimed wood and canvas. Prints and commissions sit alongside the core practice without taking over the page.

Across the Blue - Original painting on reclaimed wood

Across the Blue

Original – Acrylic on Reclaimed Wood

Painted on timber from a former beach hut at Mudeford Quay. A composition holding shoreline distance, figures, and the worn history of coastal material.

Beacon in the Weather - Original painting on reclaimed wood

Beacon in the Weather

Original – Acrylic on Reclaimed Wood

Created on reclaimed boat timber from Bournemouth Beach. Textured and quietly dramatic, holding both the exposure and endurance of weathered material.

Night Fragments - Original painting on canvas

Night Fragments

Original – Acrylic & Ink on Canvas

Large-scale canvas with layered forms and shifting portrait fragments. A work of intensity and mystery, balancing narrative depth with visual tension and emotion.

Contemporary Practice Grounded in Place

Joe Tyler’s work moves across reclaimed wood artworks, expressive canvases, and fine art prints, often drawing on Dorset’s coastal edge while leaving room for dreamlike narrative, abstraction, and shifting emotional tone.

The practice is guided by responsiveness rather than formula. Images are allowed to shift while they are being made. Figures emerge, dissolve, and return. Landscapes move toward symbol. Surface, line, and colour carry as much meaning as subject matter.
