Artwork statement

This painting is about the different sides of a person that aren’t always visible at first. The face sits within layers of colour, shapes and patterns, as though parts of the character are being revealed while others remain hidden. I wanted it to feel personal and reflective, leaving space for people to see something of themselves in it.
