Across the Blue

Painted on reclaimed wood from an old beach hut off Mudeford Quay, Across the Blue is about distance, memory and the pull of the coastline. The figures, beach huts and open water all sit within the same view, creating a scene that feels both familiar and remembered. The reclaimed wood felt like part of the story, carrying its own connection to the coast into the painting.
