Artwork statement
This painting is about sharing a moment with someone without needing to speak. The two figures stand within the same landscape, connected by the water, sky and atmosphere around them. I wanted it to feel calm and reflective, capturing that feeling of being lost in your own thoughts while still sharing the experience with somebody else.
